Coarse cleaning sponge for rust for knives, utensils and tools
The quality cleaning sponge is ideal for cleaning and maintaining stones, removing rust not only from knife blades, but also from utensils, tools and sporting goods. It is used to remove paint and dirt. Use this highly effective sponge dry or slightly dampened. It contains small particles of fused alumina and polyvinyl chloride that will make all cleaned surfaces shine beautifully. The Sabitoru (荒目 – coarse grit) cleaning sponge from the Japanese company Chukyō‑Kenma (C.K.K.) works on the principle of abrasive rubber – it removes even stubborn layers of rust, oxidation or old coatings. Unlike greasy chemicals, it relies on the mechanical effect of abrasive particles, which safely restore the metal surface without deep scratching.
Use the rust cleaning sponge carefully, always test on a small piece of the surface, the sponge could cause small scratches. Use dry or with minimal water.
