How to use correctly?
Use with water, not oil. Prepare the stone according to the manufacturer. For European knives use about 15–20° per side. Start with the grit according to edge condition and use fine stones only after the basic bevel is created.
What is Nagura used for?
Nagura is a small cleaning stone for renewing the active surface and creating fine slurry. It is an accessory, not a replacement for the main stone.
Care
After sharpening, rinse the stone, let it dry naturally and store it dry. Check flatness regularly and flatten when needed.
|
Warning Very fine stones #8000 and #12000 are not first stones for dull knives. Coarse stones #220–#500 remove material quickly, so use controlled pressure. |
