The PIRGE Classic range brings high quality kitchen knives for professionals and demanding home cooks. These knives are made of premium stainless steel German steel 1.4116 which guarantees long-lasting sharpness, high corrosion resistance and easy sharpening. The blade is ground at a precise angle of 20°, allowing smooth and precise cuts.
The blade is complemented by a heat-forged guard, which serves as a finger guard and ensures perfect balance of the knife. You'll appreciate this especially with prolonged use.
The handle is made of durable POM (polyoxymethylene) plastic, which is strong, hygienic and resistant to high temperatures. The ergonomic shape and aluminium rivets ensure a firm grip and long service life even in demanding use.

POM plastic (full name polyoxymethylene, sometimes referred to as acetal, polyacetal or trade names such as Delrin, Hostaform, Duracon) is a technical plastic with very good mechanical properties. It is often used where high strength, rigidity and dimensional stability are required - which is why it is also ideal for knife handles.
Properties of POM plastic:
