HAP-40 powder steel

HAP-40 steel for extreme blade durability and professional performance

HAP-40 is a premium Japanese powder steel from Hitachi, one of the most high-performance materials used in the manufacture of kitchen knives. Thanks to powder metallurgy technology, it has a very fine and homogeneous structure, which allows for exceptional hardness and high blade stability.

The hardness of HAP-40 steel ranges from approximately 64–68 HRC (depending on heat treatment). This gives the knife extremely long edge retention and provides an aggressive, precise, and clean cut even with intensive use. The steel is highly resistant to wear and abrasion, which will be appreciated especially by professional chefs and demanding users.

HAP-40 is not fully stainless steel, so it requires basic care – after use, it is advisable to rinse and dry the knife and not leave it in a damp environment. However, with proper maintenance, it offers exceptional reliability and long life.

HAP-40 steel knives are the ideal choice for those looking for maximum performance, long-lasting sharpness, and top-notch cutting properties without compromise.
