Detailed information

Product detailed description

This hand-stitched roll bag made from 2 mm thick cowhide leather allows you to neatly store and comfortably carry up to 10 kitchen knives or other chef tools.

The rustic Vintage-style surface, distinctive Skull motif and naturally evolving character of genuine leather create a bag that develops its own unmistakable patina with proper care and regular use.

The bag is designed for chefs, culinary students, cooking-course participants and BBQ enthusiasts who transport their knives between home, restaurant, school, catering events or outdoor cooking. It accommodates tools with blades up to 270 mm long and an overall length of approximately 400 mm.

When you need to take your knives with you

A quality kitchen knife should not be carried loosely in a backpack or among other metal tools. During transport, it could become scratched, its edge could be damaged, or it could present a safety risk to anyone reaching into the bag. A roll bag allows each tool to be stored in a separate compartment and the entire kit to be rolled into a compact shape.

Dellinger Skull provides space for up to 10 knives or chef tools. Depending on their dimensions, you can also store a honing steel, chef tweezers, thermometer, peeler, measuring tool or other smaller kitchen accessories alongside your knives.

Up to 10 tools

Separate compartments help keep your chef equipment neatly organized.

2 mm cowhide leather

Thick natural leather creates a durable outer layer and protects stored tools against normal abrasion during transport.

Shoulder strap

The 110 cm strap makes it easier to carry your packed chef equipment between different workplaces.

Vintage Skull design

The rustic finish and distinctive style set the bag apart from ordinary textile kitchen-knife cases.

For chefs, courses, catering and BBQ

A leather knife bag is not only for professional chefs. It is practical wherever you need to transport your own knives more safely and neatly than in ordinary luggage.

Use What you can carry Practical advantage
Professional gastronomy Your personal knife set and small chef tools Organized transport between workplaces
Culinary school and courses Basic knives, honing steel, thermometer and tweezers Your own equipment stays together in one place
Catering and private events Knives and tools needed for on-site preparation Compact equipment ready for transport
Grilling and BBQ BBQ knives, boning knife, tweezers and thermometer You can take your own tools to outdoor events

What fits inside the Dellinger Skull bag?

The bag is designed for knives with a maximum blade length of 270 mm and an overall length of approximately 400 mm. It therefore accommodates most common kitchen knives, such as Gyuto, Chef, Santoku, Nakiri, Utility, Petty, boning or slicing knives, provided they fit the stated dimensions.

Before storing each knife, check not only its overall length but also blade width and handle shape. Very wide cleavers, strongly shaped handles or unusually robust tools may take up more space than a standard kitchen knife.

Capacity of 10 pieces is an approximate maximum

The actual number of stored tools depends on their width, thickness and handle shape. A robust cleaver or wide chef knife may take up more space than a narrow honing steel, tweezers or small knife.

Practical setup for the bag

  • main Gyuto or Chef knife,
  • universal Santoku knife,
  • smaller Petty or Utility knife,
  • boning or filleting knife,
  • bread knife,
  • slicing knife,
  • honing steel or another tool for ongoing edge maintenance,
  • chef tweezers, thermometer or peeler.

You can choose suitable knives in the kitchen knives category.

Side pocket for small chef equipment

The bag includes a side pocket measuring approximately 50 × 12 cm. It can be used for slimmer tools such as chef tweezers, measuring tools, peelers, thermometers or other small accessories of suitable dimensions.

Thanks to the separate space, small accessories do not need to be placed between the knives. Your equipment stays better organized and the tool you need is easier to find after unrolling the bag.

Natural cowhide leather and Vintage patina

Each bag is made from natural cowhide leather. Grain, shade and small surface variations may therefore differ slightly from piece to piece. This is not a manufacturing defect but a natural characteristic of genuine leather.

The surface has a rustic Vintage-style finish. During use, subtle changes in shade, bends or marks may gradually appear on the leather, creating a characteristic patina. Proper care helps keep the leather supple and limits excessive drying.

Water resistance does not mean waterproof

Leather can withstand normal brief contact with moisture, but do not expose the bag to heavy rain, soak it or place wet knives inside. If it becomes damp, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.

How to store knives correctly in the roll bag

  1. Clean and dry the knives thoroughly first. Moisture can damage the leather and may promote corrosion on some blades.
  2. Fit suitable blade protection. A guard reduces contact between the sharp edge and the leather and improves safety during handling.
  3. Place each tool in the appropriate compartment. The knife must not be forced tightly into the pocket or sit excessively loose.
  4. Distribute the weight evenly. Do not place all heavier knives next to each other on one side.
  5. Check that the edge is covered. No sharp part should protrude outside the bag.
  6. Roll the bag without excessive pressure. The tools must not touch each other edge-to-edge when packed.
  7. Check the fastening and strap before carrying.

You can find suitable guards in the knife cases and edge protection category.

Store knives with blade protection

The leather bag itself does not replace an individual blade guard. A very sharp edge can damage the leather if inserted incorrectly, moved around or used over a long period. A guard also reduces the risk of injury when packing and unpacking.

Care of the leather bag

Genuine leather requires different care from textile or synthetic materials. Never wash the bag or place it in a dishwasher. Remove normal dirt with a lightly dampened soft cloth and then allow the leather to dry naturally.

Use a suitable oil, balm or protective treatment intended for natural leather as needed. Always test the product first on a small, less visible area because it may change the shade of the surface.

Situation Recommended procedure
Normal dirt Gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth
Dampness Remove the tools and allow the bag to dry naturally at room temperature
Drying leather Treat with a suitable product for natural leather
Long-term storage Store in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heat sources
  • Do not wash the bag or place it in a dishwasher.
  • Do not soak it in water.
  • Do not dry it on a radiator or near an open fire.
  • Do not place damp or dirty knives inside.
  • Test leather-care products on a hidden area first.
  • Keep the bag and stored knives out of reach of children.

Marek's tip

I would not place a bare edge into the bag, even though every knife has its own compartment. A simple blade guard protects both the edge and the leather itself. Before rolling up the bag, always make sure that all knives are clean and completely dry.
