Product detailed description
Professional manual slicer · katsura-muki technique
Creates continuous, even vegetable sheets approximately 0.5 mm thick and up to 180 mm wide – quickly, manually and without electric power.
CHIBA Vegg-Q is a professional rotary slicer designed for the katsura-muki technique, in which daikon radish and other firm vegetables are cut into a long, paper-thin strip. The resulting sheets can be used for Japanese garnishes, sashimi accompaniments, vegetable rolls and creative presentation.
As the handle is turned, the blade moves from side to side. This mechanism imitates the movement of a sharp knife and helps create a smooth, glossy cut surface. The vegetable is secured with a simple tubular stabiliser that keeps it aligned during use.
