How to level sharpening stones
- Draw a dense grid on the sharpening stone with a pencil.
- Soak both the leveling stone and the whetstone in water for a few minutes.
- Rub the grooved side of the leveling stone against the uneven whetstone until the pencil lines disappear.
- Repeat as needed, after every 1–2 sharpening sessions.
- After leveling, clean the stones with a damp cloth or water, then dry them.
