Pinkiss
Dellinger Pinkiss – sharp knives in an unmistakable pink design
Three individually sold kitchen knives for everyday cooking: the versatile Santoku, agile Petty / Utility and precise Paring. They share a three-layer San Mai blade with a VG-10 core, Diamond Flash Stonewashed finish and a pink oval G-10 handle.
Dellinger Pinkiss is a range of kitchen knives that combines practical construction with a distinctive pink design. It is not merely an attractive kitchen accessory – each model has a clearly defined purpose and is designed for real everyday use.
You can choose from three individual knives. The Santoku 160 mm handles most everyday cutting tasks, the Petty / Utility 130 mm is ideal for smaller ingredients and more precise work on a cutting board, while the Paring 90 mm is designed for peeling and detail work.
All models feature a three-layer San Mai blade with a cutting core made from VG-10 steel with a hardness of approximately 60 HRC. Their distinctive appearance is created by the shimmering Diamond Flash Stonewashed finish and a pink oval handle made from strong G-10 composite.

Which Pinkiss knife should you choose first?
If you are looking for one main knife for everyday cooking, the Santoku 160 mm is the most practical choice. It handles most tasks involving vegetables, fruit, fish and boneless meat, and its compact length makes it easy to control.
The Petty / Utility 130 mm is suitable for customers who prefer a smaller and more agile knife. It complements the Santoku well, but is also useful on its own when preparing smaller portions and ingredients.
The Paring 90 mm is a specialist for peeling, coring and detailed work. It does not replace a main kitchen knife, but for smaller preparation tasks it provides precision and control that a long blade cannot offer.
Recommended combination
For versatile home use, start with the Santoku 160 mm and later add the Paring 90 mm. This gives you a main knife for cutting-board work and a small precision knife for peeling and coring. The Petty / Utility 130 mm adds a versatile mid-size option.
Three-layer San Mai construction
Pinkiss knife blades feature a three-layer San Mai construction. In the centre is a cutting core made from VG-10 steel, which forms the cutting edge itself. It is supported on both sides by outer layers of steel.
The core reaches a hardness of approximately 60 HRC. This makes it possible to create a fine and very sharp edge that retains its cutting properties well when used correctly. A harder edge, however, requires a suitable cutting board and protection from sideways stress.
Diamond Flash Stonewashed – a blade that plays with light
The special Diamond Flash treatment creates subtle shimmering reflections on the blade surface. Their appearance changes depending on the angle of the light and the viewing angle.
The effect is complemented by a stonewashed finish that gives the surface a more matte and lightly textured character. The surface treatment is primarily a design feature; sharpness and cutting performance are mainly determined by the core steel, blade geometry and edge finishing.
Pink oval G-10 handle
Pinkiss handles feature a rounded oval profile without pronounced edges. The shape fits naturally in the palm and allows you to comfortably change your grip depending on the size of the knife and the task being performed.
G-10 is a strong and dimensionally stable composite material. It reacts less to normal changes in humidity than untreated natural wood and is well suited to regular kitchen use.
The pink design gives the entire range a distinctive identity and makes the knife easy to recognise among other kitchen equipment. However, these are first and foremost genuine working knives, not merely decorative accessories.
侍 – samurai symbol
The metal end cap of each handle is decorated with the Japanese character 侍, meaning samurai. This detail symbolically represents discipline, focus, precision and respect for craftsmanship.

Proper use and care
- Use the knives on a wooden or suitable synthetic cutting board.
- Avoid glass, ceramic and stone work surfaces.
- After use, wash the knife by hand and dry it immediately.
- Do not put the knives in the dishwasher.
- They are not intended for chopping bones, frozen food or hard fruit stones.
- Avoid prying and twisting the blade in hard ingredients.
- When storing, protect the edge from contact with other metal objects.
- Restore the edge gently using a suitable sharpening stone.
Important notice
Pinkiss knives have a fine edge made from a hard VG-10 core. They are not intended to be used as cleavers, pry bars or tools for frozen ingredients. Inappropriate sideways stress can damage the cutting edge.
